Vicki Born- Wildcats Activities Assistant

Born joined the Wildcats activities department in the fall of 2012, having moved back to Iowa after living out of state for 10 years. She re-entered the workforce after staying home for several years when her kids- Amron, Bowen and Redek- were young. Prior to that, Born served as assistant athletics director at Simpson College overseeing the communications efforts for 18 NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports. While there, Born also served as senior women's administrator and the sports information director for the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletics Conference. 

Prior to returning to her alma mater, Born attended graduate school at Iowa State University and gained valuable NCAA Division I experience when she served as media relations assistant in the Cyclone athletic department. She was the primary contact person for women's basketball, indoor track & field and softball, while also serving as game-day assistant for men's basketball and football.

When not cheering on the Wildcats, Born spends time following her own kids' activities and enjoys photography, running and spending time on the Mississippi River where her parents live.
