Andrea Hoekstra - 9-12 HS Principal
Since the Fall of 2020, I have been serving as the principal of Carlisle High School. I have been in the Carlisle Community School District since 2004. When I first joined the staff at CHS, I taught English and then moved into teaching Business Education. I then spent six years as the 9-12 Building Learning Coordinator (BLC) at CHS. I completed my undergraduate degree at Buena Vista University (Go Beavers!), my master's degree at Pittsburg State University (Go Gorillas!), and my Specialist in Education degree at the University of South Dakota (Go Coyotes!). Prior to joining CHS, I lived in Carl Junction, Missouri, and I taught high school English.
My husband, Mark (also, a CHS staff member), and I have two daughters, Madison (2018 CHS Grad) and Molly (2020 CHS Grad). Outside of school, I am typically at either a sporting event or enjoying my time with my family. We are proud to be members of the Carlisle Community. GO CATS!
