Mrs. Stoner K-3 Math Interventionist

Hello! I am Mrs. Stoner.  I am the math interventionist here at Carlisle Elementary.  I help support students in math.  I serve students in kindergarten through third grade in a small group setting both in and out of the classroom.  My main goal is to help students develop their foundational math skills.

I just finished my first year as a math interventionist and my 14th year teaching.  I previously taught first and second grade at both Waukee Elementary and Carlisle Elementary.  I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2003.  I completed my Master's degree in education from Viterbo University in 2010.  I continued my education and completed my K-8 math endorsement in 2016.

In my free time, I love to spend time with my family.  I have a two daughters and one son that keep me very busy. They are very active with softball, baseball, soccer, basketball, and dance.  My husband grew up in Carlisle and is a Des Moines Firefighter.  We are proud to call Carlisle our home!  Some other things I enjoy are being outside, going for bike rides with my family, taking my dog for walks, and going on jogs with some of my friends.
